water ice

to move far far away from politics....rita's water ice.
their new flavor (limited time only) cotton candy is amazing.
the first night i sampled it, along with the strawberry. i think they might make a good combo. i ended up ordering the cotton candy in a gelati with vanilla custard.
tonight i went for a blendini....cotton candy water ice, vanilla custard, vanilla wafers, and rainbow sprinkles thrown into the mix. wonderful.

cotton candy is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream as well. it was one of my top picks at baskin robbins, and now at bruster's i love the cotton candy explosion. that and birthday cake are maybe my most favorite non-chocolate flavors.

september 5th will bring the release of rita's pumpkin (pie?) flavor of water ice. i can't wait. this summer brought four new regular flavors (pumpkin and c.candy are limited releases)....sweet tea i think, georgia peach, key lime, and maybe something else. key lime is a good one, especially in a blendini. as is the georgia peach. g.peach also i think is good as a gelati.

i think i will be sticking with variations on the cotton candy theme this summer at rita's, until september when the pumpkin-related flavor comes out. i wish it wasn't limited edition. i hope it comes back next summer.
