L&O:Original Flavor

So L&O is back but Jack McCoy is now the DA and not an ADA and isn't on as much. Well, he's certainly on more than his predecessors, but it's still not enough for me. I haven't quite formed an attachment to either of the ADAs this season. But surely with time I will come to enjoy their characters. As long as Sam Waterson still gets plenty of screen time. I think during one of the L&O's this week he was seen in a commercial (during the commercial break, obviously).

I should go to bed early and not turn on the television....but I am tempted to stay up for "A Daily Show" and the "Colbert Report" to see what it's like without their writers.

long long time

It's been awhile since I posted here (okay, the one a few minutes ago doesn't count). I don't know why it's been so long. Perhaps I'm never sure what to say on here. I fear it's too boring, too dull, not important enough, or maybe too important.

Television....that's always a hot topic.

I don't watch much television anymore. I used to turn it on and sit at my computer and just watch Law and Order reruns (or whatever else I happened to find on TV) until bedtime. And sometimes past bedtime if I got caught into the plot of another episode . Some time, maybe in October or November, I was busy and not watching as much. Then the SAG Awards nominations were due and I was watching movies every night. Imagine trying to squeeze three movies into an evening. And then when that was all over, the holidays arrived. And now that they're over, I am slowly returning to TV.

Law and Order is to blame. My dad called me the other day to remind me that a new episode was on. And now that the regular L&O is on with new episodes....and then the Medium came back on this week...I think I've watched TV two or three nights in a row this week. Simply amazing.

I used to watch the Daily Show. But then it seemed too late at night. I went through a phase of watching South Park. Crossing Jordan was a favorite until it was canceled. This fall I watched Saving Grace, The Closer, and...hmm...what was the other show...Without a Trace. Some of the channels that were home to L&O reruns now have some great original shows.

And I've seen so many of the L&O reruns at this point....that was another thing, I'd read what that night's episode would be about, and too often I'd seen it and didn't feel like watching it for the third or fourth time. Of course it's been awhile since I've really watched that I will surely get back into it.

strike

So I broke down today and bought a Writers Strike t-shirt. I'm not in LA or NYC, so it's not as talked about it as in other places. And I may be the only person in town wearing the shirt (when it arrives). But I figure, if there's no picket line nearby to join, the least I can do is wear a shirt.

SAG awards will be coming up soon. I've got to figure out who I'm voting for.
